Hi! My Name is Lysa Davis.
After high school I was torn on what trade school to go to. I wanted to
go to RI School of Design, Hairdressing School, a Culinary Institute AND an Interior
Design School. Needless to say, I couldn't do ALL of them (or I'd STILL be in
school right now I assume) so I went to Cosmetology school.
I figured, I already design
and make all my own clothes and costumes for myself and band mates (oh yeah, I am ALSO a
professional singer- like I could BE anything else here!?) so I don't need to 'learn' to
do that. I also figured, 'I'll have plenty of time to do the cooking when I find the
right guy and get married and have children' and it took me till just 5 years
ago to do
THAT and now I'm cranking out dishes that would envy EMERIL! Pardon my pride! :)
Anyhow, I got my license to
do hair...because I didn't know I NEEDED one- heck, I was already doing hair all around
the neighborhood with the 'Bo Derek' style so hot at the time.
Interior design came as
natural as singing (which is another thing I never studied!) with all my drawing and
painting on the walls...just ask my MOTHER (who is ALSO a gifted floral
designer)- have I bored you to death yet? I eventually settled down from traveling all over
with my music, costumes, feeding and hairdressing band mates, enough to find the BEST
husband in the world which allows me time to reflect and decide which way my new career's
will take me.
I started Lysa Davis Design
so I could incorporate a few of my talents into one business. Here you will
learn my secrets to cooking, decorating, sewing, crafting, writing even (don't ask!) and
